Quetzalcóatl is one of the great gods of ancient Mexico, known as the wise god. In this legend, when the Aztecs asked for his help, he refused to use force like the other gods. Instead, he transformed himself into a tiny black ant, crossed the mountains with a red ant as his companion, and brought back a ripe kernel of corn between his mandibles.

Thanks to his gift, the Aztec people had food, grew strong, and built a great civilization — and they venerated Quetzalcóatl forever as their benefactor.
