The Legend of Corn
The Legend of Corn tells how the god Quetzalcóatl turned himself into a tiny black ant to bring the Aztecs the grain that was hidden behind the mountains — winning with intelligence what the other gods could not win with force. It is one of the traditional Mexican legends used in the reading-comprehension part of the naturalization exam. Read the story first, then study its characters and places.
